Hi, I’m Baiba.
As a Gestalt therapist and qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, I support high-achieving professionals who are used to carrying a lot.
I know this place myself—the point where you are still doing everything, but somewhere inside, you know it has been too much for too long.
Before I became a therapist
Before becoming a Gestalt therapist, I spent almost a decade working in insurance and banking, so I know what corporate life can feel like: high responsibility, constant pressure and the expectation to always be ‘switched on’.
I found mindfulness during those years because I needed it myself. It helped me so much that it eventually changed the direction of my life.
For the past seven years, I have taught mindfulness and stress-reduction seminars in organisations and I’ve spoken at TEDx and leadership conferences on the courage to slow down in our fast paced life.

I know what it’s like to start again somewhere new
I’m Latvian, and now I live in Spain with my two sons.
Before Spain, I also called Houston, Texas, and Arnhem in the Netherlands my home.
I know what it feels like to move to a new country. I’ve felt excited and free, but I’ve also felt lonely and lost. That’s why I feel connected to working with expats. I understand how important it is to have support while you are finding your feet somewhere new.
On a personal note
I’m Latvian, and so often the first thing people ask when they meet me is, “How do you pronounce your name?” It’s Baiba (BYE-ba) :)
The people who inspire me deeply are ordinary people who go through the darkest of times and somehow come out kinder and more compassionate. I'm always curious about the story behind the person when I meet someone new.
It might sound weird but I don’t watch TV. I love morning cappuccino, long evening walks and books—I have many books. Most of them are about personal development and spirituality. The rest are detective novels, because sometimes I need a break from serious reading too :)
I enjoy fun things with family: camping, watching basketball games and spending summer time in Latvia.
Let’s start with a conversation.
